Whew, just compiled a second draft of my novel, which is now at 141,670 words. I am hoping to tighten some things up a bit, especially in the second chapter, but there are other things near the end of the novel that probably need expanding, so I'm not sure how much I can cut it down.I wanted to print out a complete draft to pencil edit and put post-it notes for things I want to fix, but my printer is now out of toner so I will have to make a trip to Office Depot first!So now it is back to the editing process. I should be happier to have this done, but right now all I can think about is how much probably needs fixing. I went ahead and submitted the last chapter and epilogue to my writer's group and will wait to see what they think.
