Woe is me
Well, I suppose it's not that bad, but I feel like indulging in a brief whine. Stephan is off to Hong Kong for a week without me. The previous times he's been to Hong Kong on business, they offered to either fly him first class or furnish a companion ticket (2 coach tickets are actually cheaper than 1 first class). But they don't do that any more. Of course, he's going to be busy as heck and not have time for sightseeing, but I'm used to wandering all over the city on my own. I suppose it's just as well because I have to catch up on writing and critiquing, though today I'm feeling lazy and think I might watch a movie. One of these years I would love to get to WisCon. I didn't make any plans this year because originally we thought we'd go to Europe to visit Stephan's family in late May, until the Hong Kong trip came up.Instead, I am participating in the virtual convention called BitterCon, for those of us who can't get to a convention this weekend! I am not sure whom to credit with the original idea, but I read about it in journals by papersky and sartorius. Here's a link to A thread about Bittercon on retrobabble's page.In other news, I made a batch of jalapeno-mint margaritas last night for a few family members and I had forgotten how strong they are! I recall falling asleep fully clothed on top of the covers and having to wake up to get ready for bed.
