Writing update

Well, I'm behind on most of my writing goals and I'm not going to make my self-imposed deadline to get my novelette, "For the Love of Trees," edited/rewritten in time for this quarter's Writers of the Future Contest. The beginning of the semester has been incredibly busy and I've had some extra projects with deadlines that just had to get done.But on the bright side, I had a dream that resulted in an idea for a cool story in the vein of magical realism. I wrote a little bit of it and will see if I can flesh it out some in between all the other busy stuff and revising the last 2/3 of the novelette.
