Children's opera?

Ok, I guess I shouldn't be surprised at the number of people, who, when they find I've written a chamber opera based on the nursery rhyme, "Peter, Peter Pumpkin Eater," ask, "Is it a children's opera?" I know it's in Mother Goose and all.But think about it:Peter, Peter Pumpkin EaterHad a wife but couldn't keep herHe put her in a pumpkin shellAnd there he kept her very well.If you were writing an opera based on this, would it be rated G? I didn't think so.ETA: I was just thinking about whether I could name any literary influences for the libretto of "Peter, Peter Pumpkin Eater," and the best I can come up with at the moment is Lorenzo DaPonte (Mozart's collaborator) meets Bertolt Brecht.
