Word Count

Today I got some words down in my new project, a novel with a tentative title of Antonia's Fire. I'm inspired in part by the life of the Italian Baroque composer Antonia Bembo, but it has to be in a secondary world for a combination of reasons. I won't say much more than that, as there are folks on my friends list who may be critiquing it at a later date.I still have some research to do, particularly coming up with terminology and figuring out the way religion works in the quasi-Italian Renaissance/Baroque world I'm building. But it feels good to actually get some narrative down. I was puzzling over a plot problem then found it had a pretty easy and obvious solution. Duh.Current word count: 1,666
