Just getting the hang of this...

Some writers I met at WorldCon in Glasgow convinced me that I ought to try this livejournal thing. I can't see myself ever becoming much of a blogger because it would take too much away from my already limited writing time, but I think this will be a useful tool and am interested in exploring the options!I am still jetlagged but very much enjoyed WorldCon, Tolkien 2005, and traveling up the west coast of Scotland. At WorldCon I had the chance to talk informally with some of my favorite writers, including Kim Stanley Robinson, Elizabeth Hand, Jo Walton, and Susanna Clarke.Speaking of writing, I better get back to my novel in progress, The Willow Maiden, because I have barely started on the chapter I need to have ready to submit next month to my novel group, the Off-track Bookies.It is wonderful to have self-imposed deadlines to keep me on track. :) More later once I figure this journal thing out.
