Finally some good writing time!

I knew I was back in gear when for two nights in a row, I got out of bed to jot down something related to my current chapter. Then yesterday I actually had a block of time during the day, during which I wrote about four pages, skipping forward and writing the end of the chapter. I now have a little over 12 pages with a big hole in the middle where I need to tie up lots of loose ends.The novel really could end here, with the rest being more of an epilogue, but I've got a few questions I've asked early on that I think the reader will want answered, such as, what eventually happens to the Dryads?I have written the end of the novel (though it could change and certainly needs editing), but I still have a few gaps to fill in after this chapter. It is finally getting there! I don't want to get too excited yet because I need to figure out how I am going to deal with a couple of characters and my writing time will be severely limited if my semester ends up as busy as it looks.Then, I will be going back to the beginning for some edits. Chapters 1-16 and a few others, I have already edited in response to the comments from my novel group, but several other chapters, I just have the comments all together in a file folder waiting until I get back around to it. I also have a list of things I happen to think of that I need to go back and add in various chapters. Then, I will be looking for a few good readers outside the novel group to take a look and provide some feedback.I know there are places where I will want to add in more descriptive language and places where I want to cut down on the internal dialogue of the characters.Well, back to getting ready for work - I've got a long teaching day coming up! My current chapter in its most recent form is going in my bag in case I get the urge to write during my lunch hour.
