The opera, concert, and student performances that ate my brain

Ok, "The Opera That Ate My Brain" makes a much better title. But it wouldn't be entirely honest. I suppose the rules of fiction don't apply when writing a journal.Really, the women's chorus in Falstaff has very little to do, and it is lots of fun. But the rehearsals for it just happen to coincide with the end of the semester for my college students (I prepared students for two recitals this past Friday and Saturday) and recitals for my high school students coming up, in addition to the Monteverdi Vespers which is the day after the opera closes. After the opera opens on Friday, I can't go out and celebrate because I have an orchestra rehearsal for the Monteverdi the next morning at 9:30 a.m.!Once May 8 rolls around, I will start my lazy summer schedule with plenty of time to write and work on those house projects staring me in the face. Now, it's bedtime because I have a grumpy old cat meowing at me to come to bed (not to mention the husband. Note that "grumpy" and "old" refer only to the cat).
