Cool convergences

Cool convergence #1:I went to a performance tonight that C. was involved with and I'm hopefully going to be a part of next year: The Indyconvergence. Those places where the arts intersect and artists can bounce ideas off each other are what really get my neurons firing (or whatever it is neurons do).Cool convergence #2:After letting a few ideas stew trying to come up with something to present at Mythcon this year, I have a start on an abstract of a paper that I think is workable and goes with the conference theme: The Valkyrie and the Goddess:The Warrior Woman in Fantasy. The tentative title for my paper is "Beyond Brunhilde: The Search for Female Power in Opera." I like it when I can find something around which several of my interests converge, in this case, fantasy, opera, and women's roles.
