Writing

It's been a while since I've written anything new that was something like a story rather than brainstorming on paper or notes for a story or other project.This morning I wrote 500 words of what will probably be a flash piece that I'm currently calling "The Mouths" for lack of a better title. I'm sure I'll think of something better once it's done. It's about a race of creatures that have only one sense organ--the mouth--and a unique way of exchanging information. It just might be allegorical.I'm putting it aside for now to let some of the ideas stew and so I can decide what to mine from the chapter I had torn out of the novel and subsequently realized there was information in there that probably needed to go back in.
