Kittens!
Stephan and I got to go visit our kittens today. They are adorable! We will be taking them home on October 5. The grey-colored cat ("blue" is the official color name) is ours for sure, a little guy we've already named Narvi.* One of his champagne-colored sisters will be coming home with him, but we're not sure which one yet. We told the breeder that either one was fine, and she's waiting to see if one of them bonds more with him than the other. For now, I'm calling them "big sis" and "little sis," since one is larger that the other. At some point we each held each of them and also got to see another sister and brother, and both parents. Narvi and little sis both purred a bit. Big sis probably spent the most time in our laps. None of them had been downstairs in the house yet, so they cried for their mommy a little bit and went to hide under furniture for part of the time we were there.I'm really excited to be bringing them home soon. I keep telling Athena she can be a wise old grandmother cat. Perhaps they will annoy her, but at least then, as I told Stephan, she'll have something to be a curmudgeon about instead of just general curmudgeonliness. We figure that even if they get on her nerves, she will probably be entertained by watching their antics. "Kids these days! Back when I was a kitten..."Of course, there are pictures, behind the cut.Narvi
